Product test: Outdoorchef Arosa 570 G EVO Grey Steel

It doesn't always have to be a new invention to shine on the market. The Swiss grill manufacturer Outdoorchef is expanding its tried and tested Arosa gas grill and has given it a blazing/cooking zone. This gives the customer the opportunity to first decide on a basic device and then expand it later if they wish. Outdoorchef provided one of the first products from the new series production for the FIRE&FOOD test. We were particularly interested in the variety of uses of the cooking zone.

Operation
The Arosa was delivered assembled for the test. We are therefore unable to comment on the assembly.
The Arosa 570 G, which we had already shown in an earlier issue with textile covering, was made available to us as the model called Arosa 570 G EVO Grey Steel. In this model, the undercarriage is made of steel and coated in the currently trendy automotive colors. The two ring burners (9.5 kW each) can cover a temperature range of approx. 80–350 °C. The two funnels above the burners not only ensure that there is no grease fire, they also make cleaning the grill very easy. A gas safety system also ensures safety. Ignited burners that are blown out by gusts of wind etc. always ignite again by themselves. A light element on the fitting shows when the valve is open and gas is flowing.
Outdoorchef had already introduced a side cooker as an extension to the Arosa some time ago, and now the new Arosa can be equipped with a blazing cooking zone with an infrared burner and a side cooker. An intelligent height adjustment and the temperature setting options on the controller expand the cooking options. This also makes simmering in a larger pot possible. The infrared burner's high temperature is ideal for searing not-too-fatty steaks (the test showed just under 700 °C). For fatty steaks, a diffuser plate is available, which distributes the intense heat better and drains dripping fat. A tray has been installed under the cooking zone to collect fat. What you should note - the cooking zone is not operated from the front, but from the right-hand side. A special highlight is the option of placing a plancha on it. Two formats made of enameled cast iron are optionally available. The large plancha is operated with the infrared burner and the side cooker. This gives you the option of dividing the plancha into different temperature zones. For better stability and greater stability, a baseboard is included with the cooking zone. Important note: All earlier models of the Arosa 570 G can be upgraded with the Blazing Cooking Zone, with the exception of the stainless steel series with cooking area .

Conclusion:
The Arosa 570 G offers a variety of outdoor cooking options in an attractive design. The quality of the materials and the workmanship are very good. Small shortcomings, such as the bumpers on the lid, which tend to come loose, and the partially disorganized wiring should not detract from the good overall impression. If you don't just want to grill in your garden, but also want to cook, the Arosa 570 G and its cooking zone are a good choice.
