When FIRE&FOOD was founded in 2002 , the term "barbecue" was not yet well known in Germany. The team therefore made it their mission to introduce consumers to the different grills and grilling techniques , as well as to provide recipes for grilling. In addition to exclusive magazines, bookazines, grill mags and other specials, FIRE&FOOD now also offers its own grill products and fan articles to give something back to all grill fans!
Elmar Fetscher is the founder of Europe's largest BBQ magazine "FIRE&FOOD". As editor-in-chief, opinion maker and expert on German BBQ, he has made a name for himself in the barbecue scene.
In addition to his work as an editor, Elmar is also active as a member of various organizations such as the Barbecue Industry Association Grill eV (BIAG) and the World BBQ Culinary Association Ltd. (WBQA). With his own "Elmar's series" he also developed various grill products such as knives and grill gloves, which are real must-haves for every griller!

A Swedish fire is a stylish tree torch that provides light and warmth outdoors. Log wood is particularly suitable for making it, as it is very easy to split . Once the Swedish fire has been prepared with the Swedish fire disc , a wood wool grill lighter is placed in the ventilation duct. The ring plate becomes hot and can now be used in a pot or pan for preparing food, or just as a decorative fire.
