Cold Crush Cocktails
The garden bar is open! While the short ribs are cooking for the last hour in the ceramic grill and the grilled vegetables are allowed to marinate a little before they are served lukewarm, it is time for a cool, relaxing drink. Now the homemade
Elderflower syrup makes its grand entrance. Whether with or without alcohol: the main thing is that it is refreshing and delicious.
BERRY FIZZ
INGREDIENTS: Gin // Elderflower syrup // Tonic water // Sparkling water // Berries & mint
Fill a long drink glass with ice cubes (always an odd number), pour 4 cl gin and 2 cl elderflower syrup into the glass. Top up with good tonic water and ice-cold sparkling water, stir. Finally, put berries of your choice into the glass (they can also be frozen) and decorate with mint.
Ol'SMOKER
INGREDIENTS: Corona // BBQ sauce // Hot sauce (Cholula) // Maggi // Elderflower syrup // Salt & bacon
Create a salt rim (wet the rim of the glass slightly and carefully turn it in a plate with salt) and let it dry. Grill 2-3 slices of bacon as a garnish. Mix 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce with 2 teaspoons of hot sauce and 1 teaspoon of Maggi. Squeeze fresh lime juice and pour everything into a cocktail glass filled with ice cubes. Add 2 cl of elderflower syrup, stir and top up the rest with ice-cold Corona. Place the crispy bacon slices on top as a garnish.
SMOKED LEMONADE
INGREDIENTS: Lemons // Sugar // Sparkling water // Elderflower syrup // Mint
Halve the lemons (approx. 5 pieces) and press the cut side into sugar. Grill directly on the grill for approx. 5-10 minutes until the sugar has caramelized. Allow the lemons to cool, then squeeze and pour through a sieve. Now pour everything into a large pitcher, add 12 cl elderflower syrup and top up with ice-cold sparkling water. For the alcoholic version, vodka can be added. Pour into a glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with mint.
DUSK TILL DAWN
INGREDIENTS: Guiness // Prosecco or Champagne // Elderflower syrup
Fill a highball glass with 2 cl of elderflower syrup, fill halfway with ice-cold Prosecco and then slowly pour in a cold Guinness over the back of a spoon. Finally, carefully slide in an ice cube.
