The charger (the wooden box for charging) only needs to be placed within 3 meters of the thermometer, and the range is dramatically increased. For grill stations, one of the shelves is ideal, but the magnet also allows you to simply attach it to the base of a cabinet. The Meater Plus is a pretty ingenious grill thermometer that's easy to use and works without cables or wires. The Meater Plus is explained in easy-to-understand videos (English) in the app (available for free in advance for iOS and Android). Pairing works wonderfully, and using the integrated recipes is also intuitive.

The "cook timer" is a handy feature, calculating and displaying the remaining grilling time. This makes the Meater Plus very useful for long jobs or simple roasts, as these become much more predictable. The Meater Plus is charged in the wooden charger/repeater using a standard AAA battery. The Meater Plus can also be paired with Amazon's Alexa later, providing precise information when the food is ready!

Note: *If the grill or cooking lid is fully closed, Bluetooth signal transmission may be attenuated or, in rare cases, blocked. Metal lids can shield electrical signals like a Faraday cage.
