It can't get any hotter
Test: Elmar Fetscher

The updated 2024 version of the Napoleon Rogue Pro is quite elegant. The matte black, powder-coated exterior and illuminated controls give the grill a striking profile. Napoleon's Rogue series is available in sizes 425, 525, and 625. Napoleon provided the Phantom Rogue PRO-S 425 for the FIRE&FOOD test.

Data and assembly
There's a lot of grill packed into the Rogue's 67 kg total weight. All heavily used parts, such as the burners, flame plates, and grates, are made of stainless steel. The three tubular burners each have an output of 4.75 kW. The equipment also includes a 5 kW infrared rear burner and a large 4.5 kW sizzle zone. The grill took about two hours to assemble. All metal parts and screw connections are precisely machined. A bit tricky: Some of the assembly instructions require a magnifying glass to read.

Operational
The Jetfire system's ignition jet ensures perfect ignition. After just a short heat-up time, all burners reach over 400°C (752°F). The large sizzle zone, with its 800°C (1472°F), ensures perfect Napoleon branding. The one-piece lower pan of the cooking chamber is easy to clean. The 45 x 60 cm grilling area is large enough to grill for family and friends.

1. Grids and warming rack made of thick stainless steel.

2. Tubular burner and flame protection made of stainless steel, the one-piece pan of the combustion chamber is manufactured using the aluminum die-casting process.

3. Enough space for an 11 kg gas cylinder. Practical: the battery compartment with magnetic holder.

4. Lowered base for the gas bottle.

5. Clear wiring layout.

6. Good idea: cleaning kit for the burner nozzles.

7. Large sizzle zone with height-adjustable grill.

6. Illuminated control panels.

Conclusion:
The grill's key components are designed for durability. Its aesthetic appeal is complemented by a robust interior, largely made of stainless steel. The cast aluminum pan also stands for durability. Napoleon's proven Rogue series has been improved in several details in the Phantom Rogue PRO-S 425 model, such as the heat shield in the lid and the safety system on the controls, further enhancing the grill's value.
