Ingredients
• 500 ml dark beer
• 300 ml red currant juice
• 1 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 2 cardamom pods
• 1 star anise
• 3 cloves
preparation
➊ Heat the blackcurrant juice in a Dutch oven, for example, add the spices and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
➋ Then remove the spices with a slotted spoon. Add the dark beer and heat briefly, but do not let it simmer.
➌ As soon as the foam has subsided, serve the mulled beer quickly. Do not leave any leftovers in the Dutch oven; drink it straight away or pour it into another container.
