Grill(s) & Equipment:
• Grill with grill plate
Ingredients
• 200 g of mountain cheese in one piece
• 500 g raw Leberkäse (meat sausage) from the butcher
• 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
• 2 tablespoons butter for frying
• 12 red cherry tomatoes
• 1–2 handfuls of fresh arugula
• 6 Kaiser rolls or other light wheat rolls
• 6 teaspoons of hot mustard
• 6 tsp horseradish (from the jar)
preparation
➊ Remove the rind from the mountain cheese and cut the cheese into 1 cm cubes. Mix the raw meatloaf mixture well with the cheese cubes and the chopped parsley. Using wet hands, form 6 meatballs with a diameter of approx. 8 cm from the mixture.
➋ Preheat the grill and grill the patties on it for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Then place them on the edge of the grill and let them cook over indirect heat until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
➌ Wash the cherry tomatoes and halve or slice them depending on their size. Wash the rocket and shake dry well. Cut the rolls open and place them on the grill with the inside facing up. Bake or grill until crispy.
➍ Spread 1 teaspoon of mustard on each of the bottoms and 1 teaspoon of horseradish on each of the tops. Then cover the bottom halves of the rolls with rocket and cherry tomatoes, place the meatloaf planters on top and put the tops on.
