
Melon pizza with ginger ice cream
Ingredients
• 1 watermelon
• 4 nectarines
• 4 figs
• 300 g blue seedless grapes
• 200 g white chocolate, grated
• Advocaat
For the ginger ice cream:
• 1 piece of ginger, grated
• 200g milk
• 200 g cream
• 150g sugar
• 4 egg yolks
preparation
For the ginger ice cream, heat the milk with the grated ginger in a pan. Just before it boils, remove the pan from the heat, cover with a cloth and leave to cool for 15 minutes. Mix the egg yolk with the sugar to form a uniform mass, add the milk and cream and place in the pre-chilled ice cream maker for 30 minutes.
Cut the melon into 1 cm wide slices, remove the stones from the nectarines and cut into thin slices. Halve the grapes lengthways and cut the figs into eighths.
Distribute the fruit on the melon slices and spread the chocolate generously over it.
Prepare a grill with a lid for indirect grilling and preheat to approx. 200 °C. Bake the melon slices until the chocolate has melted. A quick treat with eggnog and ginger ice cream.
