Innovation, design, handiness

The MeatStick is a new type of Bluetooth thermometer that monitors the meat temperature during the entire grilling process and records it in detail. The data is then easily transferred to your smartphone . To use it, the MeatStick simply needs to be switched on and correctly placed in the food being grilled. The MeatStick app can then be used to determine the correct core temperature and grilling time for the meat.

The MeatStick is a real all-rounder! Whether grill, pan or oven: thanks to the robust material and the high heat resistance, it is suitable
suitable for every type of preparation! The device contains two stainless steel sensors,
with which the temperature can be measured precisely . Both sensors
are precisely calibrated to enable perfect measurement of core and ambient temperature . The internal sensor can measure temperatures of up to 100°C. The ambient temperature can even be measured up to 300°C.

The Meatstick is battery-operated and allows a running time of up to 24 hours before the next charge is required. If the device is not in use, it switches itself off after 30 minutes to save energy.

In addition to the classic version of the MeatStick, there is also the Mini by TMS . Due to its 30% smaller size, it is particularly handy and easy to use . Both devices are also available as a so-called Xtender version. This allows the Bluetooth signal to be extended to up to 30m indoors and 80m outdoors. This way, you can even keep an eye on the temperature while you continue working in the kitchen!

All advantages in just one device

High quality material:

The probe of the innovative MeatStick is made of robust, food-safe stainless steel. The handle is made of elegant, black ceramic. It can be cleaned either by hand with warm water, detergent and a sponge or directly in the dishwasher. It is important, however, that all residues of soot and dirt are completely removed.

Longevity:

In addition to its long battery life of up to 24 hours, the MeatStick is also characterized by its low self-discharge. This means that the device can be used again even a long time after it was last charged. However, to ensure a longer lifespan, the Meatstick should not be stored on the charging station, but next to it.

Cooked to perfection:

With the help of the associated MeatStick app, temperature measurement is possible without cutting into the food. The app not only shows the temperature, but also notifies the user whether and when the cooking process is finished. The app also automatically notices when the dish is ready and then creates a new process.

With the WiFi bridge, the Bluetooth signal can be easily amplified and the range increased. As long as the device is connected to the WiFi or home network, a connection is also established to the cloud, where the data can be stored at any time.

Practical additional functions:

Up to eight MeatSticks can be monitored simultaneously in the app. It doesn't matter whether you buy additional devices or use them from the start, the number can be increased or reduced at any time! The MeatSticks can also be connected to several devices that are within range. This makes it easy to monitor together with friends.

For a perfect measurement, the device should be placed in the middle of the thickest part of the food being grilled.

Especially with large pieces of meat, it is often difficult to tell when the food has reached the right grilling level. Wireless thermometers such as the MeatStick and the MiniX measure and check the core and ambient temperature reliably and precisely at all times. The temperature data is sent to the associated app on your smartphone and can be viewed from multiple mobile devices.

This is how the MeatStick works:

Before using the device for the first time, the app must be downloaded onto the smartphone or tablet . This is available for iOS and Android . The next step is to charge the device. Both AA batteries must be inserted into the charger. Before using the device for the first time, charging should ideally take 4 hours, but a minimum charging time of 2-3 hours is essential.

To activate the MeatStick, the button on the charger must now be pressed. The type of meat and method of preparation can now be selected in the app. The stick is then removed from the charger and placed in the middle of the meat up to the notch below the ceramic handle. For correct measurement results, it is important that the probe is inserted centrally in the meat and that the tip does not come into contact with bones or fat.

During preparation , the data is recorded in real time and simultaneously transferred to the MeatStick app. As soon as the right temperature is reached, you will be notified that the meat is ready. When removing the stick, you should be very careful not to burn yourself. Before the next use, the MeatStick must now cool down for a while and then be thoroughly cleaned.

With the MeatStick you can keep an eye on your meat anytime, anywhere! The wireless grill thermometer monitors the temperature during the entire cooking process and transmits detailed data to your smartphone. As soon as the desired cooking level is reached, the alarm sounds.

The MeatStick MiniX is a true all-rounder! Due to its high heat resistance, the device is ideal for preparing food in a pan or deep fryer. With a length of just 9.5 cm, the MiniX is also very handy and easy to store.

Frequently asked questions about MeatStick

1. How to connect to the meatstick app while using the bridge?

The bridge may already be set up and connected to the WiFi network, but the app cannot see it. Try to force the connection in the app. To do this, tap the "+" symbol in the top right of the "Current Preparation" page and select "Add WiFi Bridge". Then select "Bridge already turned on and connected?" Click here to connect". If the problem still cannot be solved, restart the router, phone and WiFi bridge. In any case, make sure that the smartphone and the bridge are connected to the same WiFi network.

2. How do you change the bridge display from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

First, please check the settings in the MeatStick app. To do this, go to the "Settings" menu item and make sure that the units "°C/kg" are set for "Temperature/Weight". Now close the app in the background and start the bridge. Wait until the device has fully booted and until "Check App" is displayed on the screen. Now hold down the top button on the bridge for at least 10 seconds. This will reset the bridge to the factory settings; the bridge display should now show "Reset". If this is not the case, repeat the process again. Open the MeatStick app while the bridge is resetting and add a stick. To do this, press the "+" "Add Stick" in the top right and follow the instructions in the app. As soon as the stick is connected, go to the "Quick Start" menu and start any cooking process. Then put the stick aside. The bridge display should now show "Check App". In the MeatStick app, click on the "+" sign again and then on "Add WiFi Bridge" and follow the instructions. After the setup is complete, the temperature should now also be displayed in °C in the bridge.

3. What can I do if the WiFi bridge does not work via the cloud?

If this problem occurs, the user account is not fully set up. Please first set up the user account and change the location query from "when in use" to "always". Also note that there may be short delays when changing settings until the stick has retrieved the current data from the cloud.

4. Why is the connection disconnected and the stick switches off?

The probe will automatically turn off if the ambient temperature of the MeatStick is below 42°C or the internal temperature of the Mini is below 40°C or does not rise continuously. Once cooking is complete and the temperature drops below 40°C, the stick prepares to go into sleep mode unless the temperature rises above 40°C again. You will receive a notification five minutes before the MeatStick turns off. If the device turns off despite a high temperature, there may be a range problem.

5. Why does my meatstick "hang" in connection mode?

This is usually a problem that affects the Bluetooth settings on the smartphone. Restarting the phone should solve the problem. Another possible reason is that the stick is not sufficiently charged. It is important to charge the MeatStick for at least 2-4 hours beforehand and to check that the corresponding contacts are clean.

6. Why does the signal break after a short distance?

The smartphone is not close enough to the stick or, if using a bridge or an Xtender, they are not positioned close enough to the stick. Depending on the cooking environment, the range of the stick to the smartphone or to the Xtender or the WiFi bridge may be limited, as some cooking devices minimize the Bluetooth signal. When cooking sous-vide, for example, you need to be as close to the stick as possible with the Xtender or the WiFi bridge.

7. Why is my Bluetooth range reduced?

The Bluetooth range in the probe itself is about 10m outdoors, but this drops to about 2m if the device is in a housing, such as a grill, oven or smoker. The signal can be blocked in this way if the antenna in the ceramic handle is too close to the metal wall. Therefore, try to keep the handle at least 8-10 cm away from the wall so that the Bluetooth transmission works smoothly. It is also important that the MeatStick is tilted vertically and not horizontally to the location where the device is located.

8. Why are foreign sticks displayed in my app?

For example, if your neighbor also has TMS products, they may be displayed on your app if they are being used at the same time. To ensure that only your own sticks are displayed, go to the settings in the MeatStick app under "advanced settings" and then to the menu item "Stick approvals". Here you can approve your sticks individually so that in future only your own devices are displayed.

9. How do I completely switch off the charging station with built-in Xtender?

The charging station should be switched off completely when not in use. The stick will continue to charge even when the charging station is switched off. To switch the charging station's Xtender off completely, press the button for about 5 seconds and then release it. The small LED will briefly flash green and then red. The charging station's Xtender will then switch off completely.
