Product test: Flammkraft Block D
I can still remember when I first came across the Flammkraft grill at a trade fair. The quality of the materials and the very appealing design impressed me immediately. That must have been about 4-5 years ago and since then we have been following the development of the Flammkraft brand with FIRE&FOOD. Although we were already impressed by the high quality back then, we continued to tinker and improve it. We checked the current status quo of the brand when we tested the Block D gas grill.
Data and assembly
The test grill was already set up. The 120 kg grill can be pushed over flat surfaces on its four heavy-duty castors. Handles for lifting the device are out of place, they would also spoil the design. Two parallel ceramic infrared burners and a steak burner together produce 16 KW of power. The grill surface is 90 x 40 cm, the external dimensions are 100/50/114 cm (W/D/H). Whether it's covers or grill grates, stainless steel is the dominant material in the Block D. A selection of seven different colors for the cover of the front drawer brings color into play.
Operation
The parallel infrared burners generate a high heat in the edge area of the grill grate, which decreases towards the middle. This creates different temperature zones on the grill, which can be used perfectly when grilling different types of food at the same time. To achieve even heat distribution, as is necessary when baking, for example, we recommend using the optionally available Teppanyaki plate. An indirect grill zone for BBQ can also be set up very easily using just the steak burner on the side. The effort required to clean the grill is limited. The grease tray is openly accessible, and smooth covers like those on the steak burner make cleaning easier.

Conclusion
The Block D - the best materials and German craftsmanship are the inspiration for this grill. They also ensure that the Block D does not weaken when used in a professional outdoor kitchen. A fixed location is ideal for the grill, as it is not easy to lift at 120 kg. Flammkraft is in the process of developing a lifting tool for this. With the optional expansion options, including pizza stone, rotisserie and wok, the grill offers a lot of grilling fun. So much fun and quality workmanship ultimately have their price and the Block D is not for bargain hunters. Welcome to the Champions League of gas grills!
