Due to Corona, the delivery of the material was slightly delayed.
Marco Vroedsteijn from Zoetermeer near The Hague has created the ultimate place for himself to be a good host to his family and friends, even outdoors. Busy with his job and far removed from all manual work, he likes to spend his free time in nature and in the kitchen - and has combined both with the decision to build an outdoor kitchen.
Outdoor kitchen and culinary creative space
It had to be an L-shaped kitchen. Marco spent a long time looking for a usable drawing: "It wasn't easy to find one. That's why I made one myself with Powerpoint. Based on the drawing, I made a list of materials and I was ready to go. DIY is fun and you can be proud of what you're building while you're building. I have to honestly say that my neighbor and the hardware store helped me a lot. It took six days of work from early in the morning until late at night. Everything went exactly according to plan. The Kamado has a prominent place, that was the base. There is also a sink, an induction hob and a large cutting board. What I found very important was a good power supply, enough sockets for the food processor, for example, and heaters when it gets too cold. When choosing products, you have to take into account that they must not rust. After all, the kitchen is outside. We now 'play' restaurant for our group of friends every Saturday. Candles, a glass of wine, good food, some music, fun - relax. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the weekly rest point with good conversations or a game together. It turns out to be not just an outdoor kitchen, but a kind of kitchen-living room." Marco's most important tip at the end: "Don't hesitate too long, if you want something, just do it. Life will fly by." For Marco, the outdoor kitchen is a culinary creative space. He has now packed his recipes between two book covers, and he also regularly publishes his ideas on his blog at https://smuggler.nl .
It is best to sort the materials before you start.
